Pixel users face screen brightness issue after March update

Many Google Pixel users have noticed a strange problem with their screens after installing the March 2025 update. The issue makes the display brightness change unexpectedly while watching videos. The March 2025 update for Pixel phones came with some cool new features and improvements. It’s built on Android 15 and is part of the QPR2 release, marking it as the final big update for this version. While it fixed several issues, it seems to have added a new one for some people.

For certain Pixel models, the update has caused the screen brightness to act up. It either gets brighter or dimmer without any clear reason, and it’s not because of the room’s lighting. Over the past few days, lots of users have shared this complaint, and the pattern is easy to spot.

This glitch only seems to happen when playing videos on apps like Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and similar ones. We saw it happen on a Pixel 9 device, too, though it didn’t occur every time. It’s a bug, and it’s annoying for those affected.
