Google adds new AI tools and hits 150 million Google One users
Google just introduced a few smart updates to its apps and services, making things easier for users. First, Gmail now has a faster way to respond to emails. On mobile, you’ll see a new reply bar at the bottom of a message thread. It shows quick options like “Reply,” “Reply all,” and “Forward,” so you won’t have to tap through menus to respond. You can also add files, use voice typing, or send emojis—all right from the new bar.
Next, Google is making it easier to do deeper research with its AI tool, Gemini. In the Gemini app, there’s a new “Deep research” button. When you tap it, Gemini will search the web in detail to give you better and more complete answers. This is helpful when you want to dive into a topic, not just get a short reply. The feature is being rolled out slowly on Android and is expected to come to iOS later.
Finally, Google One, the company’s subscription service that offers extra storage and other benefits, has reached a big milestone. It now has over 150 million users worldwide. While Google One is known for things like cloud storage, many people now use it for AI-powered features like Gemini Advanced, which is based on Google’s Gemini 1.5 model.
Overall, Google is blending AI into more of its services, giving users helpful tools while continuing to grow its paid offerings like Google One.
