Google removes Assistant branding from At a Glance widget

Google appears to be removing Assistant branding from At a Glance widget. Google app for Android (Beta v15.11) reportedly removed “Assistant” from the front of the tagline.

This significant change now pictures At a Glance as an individual identity, leaving Google Assistant. More specifically, Android’s At a Glance home screen widget is no longer branded as a Google Assistant extension.

The branding simplification is not only limited to the widget tagline as Google Assistant is also removed from the Settings page. It indicates that Gemini will take over across Android functionalities shortly!

9to5Google notes that the widget was redesigned in October and was previously called “Assistant At a Glance.” The description credited Google Assistant as “[showing] you what you need, right when you need it.”
