Pixel 8 lineup’s affordable model seems to be unveiled next month. Ahead of the official announcement, a promotional video of Google Pixel 8a 5G has been leaked, confirming the most exciting upgrades including the inclusion of generative AI and artificial intelligence.

Google Pixel 8a would carry all highlighting AI features of the Pixel 8 series. The leaked promo video confirmed the existence of the “Best Take” and “Audio Magic Eraser” camera features alongside “Live Translate” and the popular “Circle to Search.”

As revealed in the video, the Pixel 8a will have the Best Take feature, which will let you improve group photos. It is an outstanding creation that unlocks unbelievable ways to fix errors in group photos, including but not limited to fixing the closed eyes of objects.

Circle to Search became quite famous following its debut with the Galaxy S24. Google and Samsung expanded it to their recent flagships, with the Pixel 8a will be the first Pixel device to have it pre-installed. Additional features are expected to be included in Circle to Search that are in testing.

The promo also teased the Live Translate feature which breaks the language barrier. The phone will translate languages in real time as soon as you face the camera on it.

Audio Magic Eraser is Pixel Camera’s most interesting feature. It turns off unnecessary background noises from recorded videos, making the speaker’s audio easy to hear in crispy sound.

Next flagships from OnePlus and OPPO will be equipped with the Google Gemini Ultra AI model. The Pixel 8 Pro and Galaxy S24 Ultra have Gemini Nano and Gemini Pro. However, the OnePlus 13 could beat Google and Samsung by utilizing the Gemini Ultra AI model first.

OnePlus and OPPO announced (via AndroidAuthority) that flagships coming later this year will have Google’s most powerful AI model – Gemini Ultra. This technology will offer innovative capabilities like news summaries, audio recorder summaries, an “AI toolbox,” and more.

At the Cloud Next event, Google disclosed that OnePlus and OPPO phones would bring Gemini-powered features. The BBK-owned phone makers also teased an AI feature to generate social media content, which hints at a text-to-image generation tool.

OnePlus and OPPO said they “aim to be the first to launch features based on the Gemini Ultra platform on smartphones later this year.”

Powered by Google AI (Gemini Nano and Pro), the Pixel 8 and Galaxy S24 series come with many useful features. As both vendors gained their market presence using AI, Chinese vendors are all set to make a breakthrough in the industry this year.

On March 28, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series started getting the One UI 6.1 update with Galaxy AI features. Notably, the firmware weighs about 3GB and undoubtedly, the package has pretty much to explore.

Galaxy AI Features

Samsung’s latest software brings 11 Galaxy AI features to the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra. The flagships have also got a handful of on-device AI features, listed under the Advanced intelligence settings page.

The new Interpreter feature lets you translate a conversation any time you need to talk to someone who speaks another language. You can access Interpreter easily from the quick panel. Both people can hear translations read out loud in addition to reading them on the screen.

Instantly translate text wherever you find it. Just point your camera at the text you want to translate, then tap the T button to show more options. You can also translate text that appears in images in your Gallery.

5️⃣ Summarize and translate webpages

Get the information you need quickly by summarizing webpages with Browsing assist in Samsung Internet. You can reduce a long read into just the most important bullet points. You can also translate webpages into your language.

Note assist lets you do more than ever before in Samsung Notes. You can automatically format, summarize, correct, translate, and generate covers for your notes.

7️⃣ Automatically transcribe voice recordings

Use Transcript assist to convert recordings of meetings, lectures, voice memos, and more into text, then summarize them for quick review. You can even translate the transcripts and summaries to review them in other languages.

8️⃣ Do more with Samsung Keyboard

Change the tone of your writing to make it sound professional, casual, or ready to post on social media with Writing Assist. You can also get spelling and grammar suggestions in addition to message translation in select chat and text messaging apps.

Add a missing element to your picture. Just clip an object from an image in Gallery, then go to the image where you want to paste it and choose Paste from clipboard in the More options menu.

• Easily create custom stickers

Creating custom stickers has never been easier. After you clip an image in Gallery, you can quickly turn it into a sticker and apply styles such as outline, cutout, vintage, and cartoon.

You can now start a routine when an alarm of your choice starts ringing or when Smart View connects or disconnects.

Turn on Relumino outline in Accessibility settings to highlight the outlines of objects in images and videos to make them easier to distinguish for people with low vision.

Quick Share has merged with Google’s Nearby Share. In addition to Galaxy devices, you can now share with other Android devices even without an internet connection.

• Locate your devices

The new Samsung Find app lets you see where all your Galaxy devices are on a map any time. If you lose a device, additional features are available to help you find the device and protect your data.

• Share your location with others

With Samsung Find, you can share your location with family, friends, or anyone that you trust. Share for a limited time or all the time. You’re always in control of who can see your location.

• Broadcast sound with Auracast

Broadcast the sound from your phone so others can listen. Anyone nearby with a Bluetooth LE Audio device will be able to listen to your broadcast.
