Chromebooks are getting some exciting updates today, showing how they work great for both personal fun and business needs. Let’s dive into what’s new, starting with Roblox improvements. For gamers, Roblox on Chromebooks now has a special x86 version that doubles the speed. This means games run smoother with better frame rates and load faster—whether it’s the login screen, homepage, or actual gameplay. Google says Roblox is super popular on Chromebooks as a fun gaming and creative platform. To make it even better, players can grab two free in-game goodies:

  • A shiny Chrome jetpack to fly around in style.
  • A “Chromebook Cruiser” hoverboard in the Roblox game Bloxburg for zipping across the ground.

On the business side, Chromebook managers (admins) are getting handy AI tools in the Google Admin console. There’s a new chatbot called Chrome Admin Assistance, powered by Gemini. It sits in the top-right corner and helps with managing devices. Instead of digging through menus, admins can just type simple questions—like checking a device’s status, grabbing a screenshot to fix problems, or restarting a device—all from a chat box. This feature is starting as a test for users in the US.

Plus, some search fields in the Admin console now understand plain English. For example, typing “devices with low RAM” will automatically search for devices with 1GB to 4GB of RAM. This update will roll out soon over the next few weeks. Lastly, admins will see a “Related Settings” option when they check a policy page. For instance, tweaking microphone settings will also show audio output options right there—making things quicker and easier. These updates make Chromebooks more fun for gamers and simpler for businesses, proving they’re a solid pick for everyone!
